Manchester United are still in the hunt for Louis Page despite missing out on a deadline day move for the Leicester City midfielder, sources have told ESPN.
United tried to reach a deal with Leicester for the 18-year-old during the summer window before negotiations stepped up again on deadline day. But without an agreement in place, the window closed with Page still a Leicester player.
United, however, are still interested in the England youth international with sources telling ESPN that United believe they are well-placed to win the race for his signature, despite interest from Arsenal.
Sources have told ESPN that United bosses are relaxed about the situation given their intention to loan Page back to Leicester for the season even if a deal had been reached over the summer.
A move for Page, who played 18 games in the Championship last season, is likely to cost more than £10 million ($13.5m.)

Page has started Leicester’s last three games in League One following their relegation into the third tier. Interest from United follows a club policy of trying to snap up some of England’s best young players.
Ayden Heaven was signed from Arsenal in 2025 and has already made 22 Premier League appearances.
Winger Tynan Thompson, 18, also arrived from Tottenham over the summer for a fee which could reach £8m.
