Ipswich Town have announced the signing of World Cup-winner Exequiel Palacios from Bayer Leverkusen.
The 27-year-old joins from Leverkusen, where he won the Bundesliga in 2024, after moving from River Plate in 2020.
The Argentina international was part of the squad that won the 2022 World Cup in Qatar.
Palacios has 41 caps for his national team and played in the World Cup this summer before his side ultimately fell short against Spain in the final.
He is Ipswich’s 11th signing of the summer, in a group which includes Julio Enciso from Strasbourg, Emersonn from Toulouse, Abdul Fatawu from Leicester, Abdoul Ouattara from Strasbourg and Florentino from Burnley.
