Manchester City have agreed a deal with Everton for Iliman Ndiaye, sources have told ESPN.
Ndiaye is set to move to the Etihad Stadium for an initial fee of £60 million ($81 million) with another £5 million (6.7 million) in add-ons. He’s been given permission to undergo a medical with the transfer expected to go through on Tuesday.
City re-ignited their interest in the Senegal international, who was also a target for Tottenham Hotspur, after Liverpool rejected an offer for Cody Gakpo.
His arrival will bolster Enzo Maresca’s forward line following the departures of Savinho and Omar Marmoush to Spurs.
City announced the arrival of Brazilian winger Allan Elias on Monday after agreeing a £32 million ($43.3 million) deal with Palmeiras.
Ndiaye has spent three seasons at Everton, scoring 17 goals in 74 games. The 26-year-old started in Everton’s opening two games of the Premier League season in a win over Crystal Palace and a draw with Bournemouth.
