Fabio Vieira has left Arsenal to join Bundesliga side Hamburg SV, the club has announced.
Vieira spent last season on loan in Germany, scoring seven goals in 29 appearances, and has now made the move permanent.
Since signing for Arsenal in a £34 million ($46m) deal in 2022, Vieira has made just five Premier League starts, with his last appearance for the north London club coming over two seasons ago.
Viera also spent a year on loan at Porto the season before last.
“I’m very happy to be back. I already know the club, the fans, and many of my teammates. It feels great to be a part of it again,” Vieira said in a statement to club media.
“I knew from the beginning that there was a possibility for me to come back here. I felt that HSV had made a real effort to bring me back. Now I’m back and can’t wait to get started again.”
