In the Carabao Cup final, Chelsea will face Liverpool in the hopes of adding to their trophy cupboard.
Following a 2-0 victory against Lille in the Champions League round of sixteen first leg, the Blues enter the mouth-watering final with confidence.
Meanwhile, their opponents, Liverpool, are in fantastic form, having won nine of their last ten games.
The Reds’ most recent triumph came in a 6-0 thrashing at Anfield, with Mohamed Salah, Sadio Mane, Joel Matip, and Virgil Van Dijk all scoring.
Arsenal legend Paul Merson has spoken out ahead of the high-octane battle on what he believes will happen.
“When I look at the two clubs and how they’ve done this season,” Merson told Sportskeeda, “I think this could be an incredible humdinger of a game with a lot of goals.”
“Chelsea is one of the finest defensive teams in the world, but Liverpool’s front three is incredible, and I expect them to score against most European clubs.
“Despite the uncertainty surrounding Romelu Lukaku’s form, I believe Chelsea has the firepower to score goals, so this is a difficult game to call.
“It’s tough to predict a game like this, but I’m going with a 2-2 tie! What about the consequences? Because no one on the globe can predict which of these two sides would win in such a circumstance, flip a coin.”
