Nottingham Forest have reached a deal to sign Chelsea forward Liam Delap, sources have told ESPN.
Delap is set to join Forest in a move worth an initial £45 million ($61m) plus £5m ($7m) in add-ons, sources added.
The 23-year-old has failed to flourish at Stamford Bridge since joining Chelsea from Ipswich Town in 2025. He was left out of Xabi Alonso’s squad for Chelsea’s win over Fulham on Monday.
Sources told ESPN that Delap was Forest’s first choice attacking target, with manager Oliver Glasner saying he was confident they would add players before the summer transfer window closes.
Delap joined Chelsea from Ipswich for £30 million ($41m) last summer. In his sole season at Stamford Bridge, Delap scored one Premier League goal in 28 appearances. He has also scored for Chelsea in the Champions League.
