Folarin Balogun reopens door to Premier League despite failed Everton move

United States striker Folarin Balogun has said that he would still be keen to play in the Premier League, even though his transfer deadline day move to Everton collapsed in dramatic fashion.

Balogun, 25, backed out of a move to the Toffees after Everton and Monaco started to restructure the terms of his transfer after issues were raised during the his medical examination at Everton’s Finch Farm training ground.

Asked by talkSPORT if a Premier League move is something that he’d still be interested in, Balogun said: “Yes, potentially.

“Football has many twists and turns as we’ve seen after the World Cup.

“I was close to a transfer, didn’t materialise, but for sure it’s definitely an option.”
