After being sacked by Paris Saint-Germain, Pochettino took to social networking sites to thank the Ligue 1 giants for the opportunity and to be proud of winning the Ligue 1 title last season.
PSG announced the dismissal of Pochettino on Tuesday, with Galtier, who previously led Lille to the title, as manager. Pochettino has been rumoured to be out of the job since he was knocked out by Real Madrid in the Champions League quarter-finals in March. This eventually became a fact, but his statement on social networking sites did not have any complaints.
Pochettino said: “I wish everyone in Paris the best possible future, including the owner, the board, the players, all the staff and the fans. To Algherafi (President of Paris), I want to say thank you for letting me have An opportunity to join the Parisian family. We enjoyed some fantastic moments and important victories together, and as coaches we always learn from each experience to push us forward.”
“I’m proud to have won the league at a club that is important to me and my family, and I’ve enjoyed winning trophies both as a player and as a coach.”
British media quoted sources as saying that Pochettino hopes to return to the Premier League, but unfortunately, there is no team coaching vacancy in the Premier League BIG6, so he may need time to wait.
