Inter Milan have agreed a deal to sign Liverpool midfielder Curtis Jones, sources have told ESPN.
The Serie A club will pay an initial €30m for the 25-year-old, with the potential for a further €5m in performance-related add-ons.
The deal was agreed late on Wednesday night and the player has now been given permission to travel for a medical.
Inter had attempted to sign Jones in January and had seen several offers rejected by the Premier League club.
A move away from Anfield has been in the offing this summer, with Jones having one year remaining on his contract and his omission from the team’s most recent preseason friendlies against Monaco and Como.
Jones, who was born in Liverpool and joined the club at the age of nine, has made 228 appearances for Liverpool since making his debut by Jürgen Klopp in 2019.
He has struggled to nail down a starting spot during his time at Liverpool, but did make 49 appearances last season.
Jones has won two Premier League titles, two FA Cups and two Carabao Cups during his time at Anfield.
Inter seem to have identified English Premier League players as a priority during this transfer window with Jones set to join John Stones and Djed Spence who have also made the move to San Siro this summer.
