Mane’s goal got Senegal to the quarter-finals, but he had a head injury.

Liverpool striker Mane was taken to hospital for treatment after being injured in the African Cup of Nations, and he reported on social networking sites that he was safe.

Senegal defeated Cape Verde 2-0 in the 1/8 final. Mane performed well, not only scoring a goal, but also getting a red card for one of the opposing players. However, he injured his head during the game and was taken to the hospital.

Senegal coach Cisse said: “He felt dizzy, the world was spinning, and he needed to be sent to the hospital.”

However, Mane later said on social networking sites that he was fine. He posted a photo of himself in a hospital bed next to the Cape Verde goalkeeper Wasinga who collided with him. Both gave thumbs up, and it seemed that Mane was fine.
