Norwich City vs ARSENAL. Gunners mark Coach Arteta’s second year.

It was Mikel Arteta’s two-year anniversary as the manager of the Arsenal when the team beat Norwich 5-0 on Boxing Day. The win made it four straight victories in the Premier League.

A goal by Bukayo Saka made it 1-0 for Arsenal in the sixth minute. Saka put the ball past Angus Gunn.

Kieran Tierney scored a goal just before the break (44). Saka, who had given Norwich a rough time, scored a great goal from the edge of the penalty area to end the game on a high note.

Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang didn’t play, so Alexandre Lacazette took over as captain. Lacazette scored from the penalty spot after being fouled by Ozan Kabak. Emile Smith Rowe just about managed to stay onside and finish off another great performance from Arsenal.

Victory means that the Gunners have won five games in a row in all competitions for the first time since Unai Emery was in charge of the team in 2018. It was on Boxing Day in 2019 that Arteta took over at Arsenal. Even though his team has played more games than the teams around them, they still have a six-point lead over fifth-placed Spurs thanks to the win.

In other words, Norwich is still at the bottom of the table because they lost their fourth straight game.
